W. Harris Green, MD, a Tallahassee native, received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, and his medical degree from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee, where he also served his one year internship. He served his residency for dermatology at the Brody School of Medicine of East Carolina University and was co-chief resident his last year. He joined the ECU faculty for a year after completing his residency. Dr. Green has completed his American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery under Dr. Armand B. Cognetta at Dermatology Associates of Tallahassee.
Dr. Green is widely published and has given multiple lectures at national meetings. He is a current member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery. He is board certified as a Dermatologist and as a Mohs Micrographic Surgeon. Dr. Green is also the current Interim Director of the Florida State University College of Medicine’s Dermatology Residency program here at Dermatology Associates of Tallahassee.
Dr. Green specializes in skin cancer management. Dr. Green is fellowship trained in Mohs Micrographic surgery and other modalities of skin cancer treatment. His year of fellowship training beyond his dermatology residency makes him uniquely qualified to diagnose and treat skin cancer.
