Mayra Zimmerman, PA-C joined our practice in 2014. She is a board-certified physician assistant with experience in cosmetic, surgical, and general dermatology. She specializes in hair treatment, specifically Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment, and V-Beam laser treatment for vascular issues. In addition to practicing, Mayra is a clinical assistant professor at Florida State University.
Mayra was born in Lima, Peru, and raised in Vero Beach, FL. She received both her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science and Master’s degree in Science & Physician Assistant studies at the University of Florida. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
She is involved in the local community as a board member for the American Red Cross and volunteers with Junior League of Tallahassee, Tree House, Hang Tough Foundation, and HOPE community center. In her spare time Mayra plays tennis with the local USTA league and enjoys diving and traveling.
Marc J. Inglese, MD, a Tallahassee native, attended medical school at the University of Florida where he graduated summa cum laude. He was also elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, the highest academic distinction given to a U.S. medical school graduate. Dr. Inglese completed his one-year internship in 2003 at the University of Florida’s College of Medicine, and then a full internal medicine residency from 2003 to 2006 at the University of Florida’s Department of Medicine. From 2006 to 2009, Dr. Inglese completed his dermatology residency at the University Of Texas- M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Department Of Dermatology in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Inglese is dual board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Dermatology. In addition to private practice, he is an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the Florida State University College of Medicine. Dr. Inglese also sits on the Board of Governors for the Florida Medical Association. He specializes in dermatological care for adults and children, as well as internal medicine.
Dr. Andras Schaffer earned his medical degree from the Medical School of the University of Pécs (Hungary) and his Ph.D. in Immunology from Cornell University. After residency training in Anatomical Pathology at the Massachusetts General Hospital and in Anatomical Pathology and Clinical Pathology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, he completed a two-year combined research dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. For the next several years, he was an NIH-funded research scientist and an attending dermatopathologist in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was also the Director of the Penn Cutaneous Lymphoma Diagnostic Service. Dr. Schaffer was recruited to Washington University in St. Louis where he built and directed the University’s dermatopathology diagnostic and educational center and served as the director of the Dermatopathology fellowship training program. Prior to joining the Dermatology Associates, Dr. Schaffer worked at Bay Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery.
Dr. Schaffer received several research and educational awards. He is widely published in the fields of basic immunology and Dermatopathology. He is an editor and author of the textbook on cutaneous hematopathology. His diagnostic and academic interests include cutaneous lymphomas, inflammatory diseases, and melanocytic lesions.
Dr. Schaffer is board-certified in Anatomical Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Dermatopathology. He is a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the College of American Pathologists, and the American Society of Dermatopathology.
Dr. David J. Dolson received his medical degree from the University of Florida. He completed an Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology residency, followed by a combined Cytopathology and Surgical Pathology Fellowship at the University of Florida. During his training, he was awarded a fellowship by the American Cancer Society and won the Alfred Lewis Memorial award from the Florida Society of Pathologists. Following this training, he stayed on at the University of Florida as an Assistant Professor of Pathology, where he received several awards, including the medical school-wide Teacher of the Year award (for basic science teaching), as well as Teacher of the Year in the Department of Pathology (awarded by the pathology residents and fellows).
Dr. Dolson continued his training at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Fellow in Dermatopathology. Prior to joining Dermatology Associates, he was a partner at KWB Pathology Associates, where he was the medical director of the outpatient laboratory for over 12 years. Dr. Dolson, who has authored book chapters and several academic papers relating to pathology, is board-certified in Dermatopathology, Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, and Cytopathology. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Florida State University College of Medicine.
Dr. Richardson received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He completed both a dermatology residency and a fellowship in cutaneous oncology at the University of Pennsylvania. He has received multiple awards for his research pertaining to skin cancer and has been a recipient of the National Research Service Award.
Dr. Richardson has presented his work at both national and international medical conferences and has published numerous papers and book chapters relating to skin cancer and psoriasis. Dr. Richardson is board-certified and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is a Clinical Asst. Professor at the Florida State University College of Medicine.
